The Legend of Mrs. Teeter

There’s a house in Heritage Square that looks like it belongs on a postcard.

Victorian charm. White picket fence. Adorable on the outside.

But don’t let the lace curtains fool you.

Because inside that house—now home to Que Sazón—something lingers.

And her name? Eliza Teeter. Today, the house is home to Que Sazón and has become one of the most talked-about haunted stops on our Phoenix ghost tour.

The Widow of Heritage Square

A widow with six kids, Eliza traded her farmland for this downtown cottage in 1911. Over the next five decades, she ran the home as a boarding house, raised her family, and quietly became a permanent part of the neighborhood.Very permanent, if you believe what people say. Today, her presence is still felt in this historic Heritage Square home, now part of one of the most well-known haunted locations in downtown Phoenix.

Something Still Lives Here

We won’t spoil the juicy stuff (that’s what the tour is for), but let’s just say…This house doesn’t like to be ignored. Things move.Things go missing. People feel watched.

And the room where Eliza passed? Guests say the energy changes the second you step inside.

Ask anyone who works at Que Sazón. Better yet—join us and ask her yourself. It’s one of the reasons this historic spot has become known as one of the most haunted locations in Heritage Square.

First, Dinner. Then, Ghosts.

Many of our guests grab dinner at Que Sazón before our haunted walking tour kicks off right outside. It’s a chance to dine inside one of the most historic and haunted locations in Heritage Square before joining our Phoenix ghost tour.

And thanks to our official partnership, Get Ghosted guests receive free appetizers and happy hour drink pricing before the tour. Just show your ticket or let your server know you’re with us.

Come hungry. Leave… haunted.
